FTMO drawdown calculator
FTMO 2-Step Challenge (forex / CFD): Max Daily Loss is 5% of initial capital, measured on equity and recalculated at 00:00 CE(S)T from your balance at that time. Max Loss is a static 10% of initial capital.
How "safe risk per trade" is worked out
It takes the room between your equity and the binding floor (the closer of the max-loss and daily-loss limits), uses only the share you choose (50% by default), and splits it across the number of full stop-outs you want to survive in a row (2 by default). This is a conservative planning aid, not a prediction or a recommendation.
FTMO rules in plain English
- Daily loss is measured on equity: balance + open P/L ± swaps – commissions.
- The max loss floor is static: it does not move up with profits.
- The same percentages apply to the Challenge and Verification phases. The 1-Step and Instant products use different numbers.
